Organizers described this year\u2019s exhibition as Beijing\u2019s first open-street flower show, abandoning traditional fenced venues in favor of an innovative layout that integrated blooms directly into sidewalks, office plazas, and shopping concourses. The footprint included one core exhibition area alongside multiple themed landscape nodes, with more than 60 themed gardens and 28 hidden floral installations scattered throughout the district.<\/p>\n

Dutch landscape architect Jutis Vanderplu created a \u201cFuture Garden\u201d centered on alpine rhododendrons, designed to bring natural elements into dense urban environments. British designer Mark Gregory focused on the connection between nature and well-being. His installation emphasized biodiversity and organic landscapes, incorporating trees and water features. Throughout the district, visitors encountered 20 \u201cfloral surprise\u201d installations at building bases, street corners, and commercial plazas. One featured a \u201cBook Planting Project\u201d combining fresh flowers with literature, while the show\u2019s cartoon mascot, \u201cHuatuantuan,\u201d appeared on rooftops and signage. The Lize SOHO tower was reimagined inside a giant beer mug installation, creating a whimsical landmark.<\/p>\n

After sunset, the exhibition transformed entirely. Light installations merged with blooms to create nighttime touring, shopping, and entertainment experiences. Organizers ensured the show remained accessible for commuters and residents enjoying evening activities.<\/p>\n

The Lize International Consumption Season ran parallel to the flower show, drawing inspiration from Lu Xun\u2019s essay collection \u201cDawn Blossoms Picked at Dusk\u201d and other world literary classics. The \u201cBlossom Roaming Land\u201d section featured five zones: gourmet food, creative cultural souvenirs, family-friendly activities, interactive experiences, and leisure spaces.<\/p>\n

A calligraphy and painting exhibition explored \u201cromance with plants\u201d using brush, ink, light, and shadow. Multiple leisure garden spaces offered quiet areas for rest and conversation. At Jinzhongdu Ruins Park, the \u201cCitizens\u2019 Garden Week\u201d showcased designs created by Beijing residents from all walks of life, emphasizing community participation.<\/p>\n

Beyond the public spectacle, the show served as a serious industry gathering. Professional sub-events included the International Dialogue on Garden Cities, the Dialogue on the Development of the North Temperate Flower Industry, and the \u201cLize Cup\u201d Garden Building Competition, judged by experts from China and abroad. New cultivar launches and gardener sharing sessions highlighted the latest innovations in floral horticulture.<\/p>\n
